Here, bow starts on Oct.15th, and we even are allowed crossbows this year starting Oct. 15 til Jan. 31st.

Regular gun season opens November 20th til end of January.

How bout it?

General trapping season here starts December 1st, and runs till the end of January.... That is really the only season I made a real point of keeping up with for the last quarter century or so.

I hope lots of people respond to what their local seasons are. (It kind of gives a really interesting view of all of us in these "United" States) IN NY we always divided up the deer season on whether your county was in the "Northern" or "Southern" Zones. In the North, the season always was earlier. (usually in October). In the Southern zone, the season began for the last two weeks of November. (I'm talking about rifle season only. There were seasons for bow and for muzzleloaders which I never particularly followed)

Well, for deer, the bow season starts sometime toward the end of October, and muzzle loader a week or so later... Deer rifle starts about the middle of November and runs till about the first of December, then bow season takes up again and runs another week or so.

In California the bow season opened July 31st. The rifle season opens on Oct 9th. Here in California they will not allow deer hunting during the rut. Our bleeding heart liberals wouldn't like us to have a better opportunity for a trophy rack.

Our Bow Season in Ga. starts Sept. 18th and runs intil Oct. 16th, then muzzle loader season runs for one week. That then is the beginning of our Gun Season which runs untill Jan. 1st in the Northern Zone and another week in the Southern Zone. The State is broken up into Two Zones and several Areas. My particular area is either sex for the entire season for deer. We are however restricted to only two bucks, one of which must have 4 points on one side longer than 1 inch. But we may harvest 12 deer total. If you hunt a Wildlife Management Area in which you must check-in, the deer harvested in these Areas do not count against your 12 deer limit. Pretty liberal bag limit in GA. Some areas in the State do not have any days that does may be taken. In those areas of the State, the bag limit on deer is two. There are only a couple or three counties with tis situation. There is no limit on the number of deer per day, only season wide limits.

The modern rifle seasons here starts, bear- August first, deer- high buck Sept. 15th, general season Oct. 16th, elk-Nov.6th. I'm going to be back from Hunting Prince of Wales Sept. and hope to talk the wife into letting me take a long weekend for a hike in high buck hunt.
