I dunno...sometimes I do, sometimes not, depending on how long it is gonna be/has been, and how hot it is.

I imagine some of ya'll folks have real nice cold falls and winters..lol..and don't really have to, unless maybe you want to lighten your load.

anyhow, found a site that has pics about "how to"...although, I reckon most of us know "how to" biggrin.gif

So, do you field dress (in the field) often? What would your reasons be (I find there are sometimes lots of different reasons for different folks).? I reckon I do, on the times I do, like I said...because of the heat. Or, if it fell in a hard to get out of spot which would take a while to get out of (but, again, has to do with heat..lol).

I normally field dress my Deer, but I'll be tempted to try PAP's "air dressing" trick in PA, as the weather will be cooler and hopefully my 4-wheeler will be working to cart them out with !! wink.gif rolleyes.gif

Sometimes I did, and sometimes I didn't... When I lived in the country I generally did not kill a deer vary far from the house. I'd usually just load it up and head for the shed. I'd hang it, slide a #3 washtub under it, and clean him there. Then let it hang for a while, depending on the temperature... Liveing in town I "gutted it", checked it in, then headed home where I'd wash it out, and let it hang for a bit.
