Do you have feral or "wild" dogs that run in packs in your area? They are occasionally encountered here, and I have dealt with them on a few occasions...but more often the dogs that are encountered in the woods belong to people who just allow them to run loose..... How is it where you are?

We live in "dump em off" alley. I've seen wild chow-chows, (usually, if I see a bunch of puppies on the road though, I'll take them to "across the tracks" and there's always people wanting them). I've seen mixed dogs running in packs, and the weirdest I've ever seen was a beagle that was running with yotes. LOTS of wild dogs here, mostly due to people dumping them off.
We get your occassional hunting hound that got seperated and left, but stayed around in the woods long enough to where he found a pack to run with and is forevermore skittish. They even wear collars. (We get newly lost ones too, and you can catch them and call the owner, or hold them til someone comes looking.)

They're really as skittish as yotes.....but, you know how it is if they come in my "safe zone". I don't allow riffraff near my home; it's sposed to be a safe haven for the rugrat. Sooo.....

On hunting lands though, we used to have that problem, but my grampa took care of it, I guess. Haven't seen any since.

We got some. I keep 'em close by because that way I know where the good eats is. HAHA.
