I went by one of my places, and saw lots of tracks, that's bout it. But, lots of foxes. biggrin.gif

But, sent some "eyes" up to my newer "joint" , and the guy saw lots of does and a couple of bruisers.(which for me, would be anything over 6 pts..lol) Also saw a lot of turkey action.....and I recall when I(actually, it was a "gift" to me tongue.gif ) got it last season that it was crawling with the birds. But, I still got work to do there......should have it ready for opener.

The first place, there's always about 20 deer killed off of it every year....which ain't a bad number for where it's located, but this new one...I didn't even SEE anything "alive" there the last few weeks of last season..but, there were lots of nice 8pt + sheds found when I got it, and everytime I went in would be new tracks everywhere. I just haven't had the opportunity to scout that place out like I'd want to.
I had lots of problems geting permission to have an access through someone else's property to get in there last year...but finally worked that out. And now, one of the members was clearing trails a couple of weeks ago, and totally caved in our small access bridge across a creek we were gonna rebuild but never got around to it..lmao..... I gots lots of work to do. wink.gif But, got all the fields planted, all the stands set up, and we got a lot of nice hardwoods , and that's where they seem to be at. One guy actually got a shot off at a deer in the bottoms of the hardwoods last year. (Only deer that wasn't spooked enough to come out..lol) That place is a lot of work, and still alot to do.

Anyhow, I've seen sign so far....anyone else out there looking around yet?

My "Horse Farmer" provides me with "scouting reports" for my one place here in VA. I'm really looking forward to Hunting there this year, since he fired his "hired non-help" who (with his father) kinda intruded on me there last year. I have removed viruses from the Horse Farmer's PC twice already this year, and we now have a "very clear understanding" as to what exactly my "fee" is !! ... lmao laugh.gif biggrin.gif

As for Hunting Camp here in VA, I plan on getting out there and doing some scouting in the next month. I say that each year and this will be a "first" if I do indeed make it ... lol blink.gif unsure.gif

I already done my "scouting" at PA Camp ... I called my bud and ask him if the neighbor's bottom filed was planted in corn this year. The answer was YES, so my scouting is done there already !! ... roflmao laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I just got done scouting for a beer and bingo!!!
On a sidenote,I don't get the time to scout.Sort of wing it and go where I have a pretty good idea how the deer travel. Some areas are drying up so I'll have to take the new GPS and do some hunting back in the state forest.
But I'm skeered of spidees and bears. ohmy.gif
