Does anyone still use the "jump" traps? ... When I started trapping in the early 70's they were still pretty popular, but you seldom ever hear of them any more... I really liked the #3 jumps for coyotes, and the #4 for beaver, and still have a number in the trap shed... But, I really don't even know if anyone makes them any more. Today it seems that everyone is into coils, with a scattering of long springs... Does anyone you know still use them...and do you know if they are still being made?

I have a few of the smaller sizes that I picked up a yard sales. However I never see any in the trapper supply houses. I remember I heard they were collectable.

Well, fact is, quite a few of the traps I started with I am hearing now are collectable...some of the old HERTER'S, and B&L, and MONTGOMERYs... But then I do have one wall in the trapping shed that I just hang "collectable" traps on..... Kinda makes me wonder now, cause after I quit trapping several years ago, the boys just picked out about 250 they wanted to keep, and I gave away or sold probably 250 or so others... Probably should held onto them. By the time I "pull stakes" that final time they would probably have been worth more than my life insurance policy....LOL
