What is your favorite animal to hunt.... If I had to pick the single animal I enjoyed hunting more than any other it would be the coyote... What is your favorite?

I guess deer. I don't hunt for many different ones.

Deer I suppose because it surprises me how they weigh so much but can slip up so quietly, and also you can get a long distance shot on them. Plus, I enjoy watching them...makes me feel like a mountain lion or something..lol.

I would also have to say the coyote is my favorite animal to hunt.

My favorite game animal - that's a hard one! Probably Pronghorn Antelope. They are a challenging animal to hunt. Lots of stalking to get close enough for a shot. My second choice is probably elk.

I've always wanted to go on a hunt with my dad for antelope. He went and has a mount done from one of them years ago. I'd bet he'd say it was his favorite animal to hunt too.

Predators that for sure. Red and Gray Fox and Coyotes. Nothing like hunting during the winter months at nighttime. You have permission to hunt on about 25 farms. The night sky is filled with stars and many shooting stars appear in the night.

You call and you start to think? I guess it's going to be one of those night that nothing will show to you calling. Then all of a sudden out of no where there is a red fox running right at your rabbit calling or mouse squeaking. Real neat. They hunt you when you use a call. sometimes you get them sometimes you don't. Thats why they call it predator hunting. However when you miss one over snow they look like they are running for the next county.

Yes we do indeed!

Here are the pair of 4x4's I shot last year. The second one was taken at the end of November at the tail-end of the rut. He was a big-bodied old bugger and had a live weight of ~325 pounds. Anyone who claims mulies don't fight hard never saw a scared up old warrier like this guy. LoL wink.gif

325!! Oh my goodness! I keep forgetting how big your critters get up there. Here (in Bama) we only have whitetail and a good year, you might get one that tops 200#. We also count the brow tines here laugh.gif , so those of yours would be monster 10 points here! biggrin.gif

They are just massive..those are some Grade A Sweeet mulies there. and yeah...lol..they look like they threw down a time or two. Nice!

Pretty much a toss up for me for various reasons ... but mainly: wink.gif biggrin.gif
fox, yotes, and turkey ... for the challenge
groundhogs ... to get the Deer rifles dialed in & so my Airedale can have some fun
deer ... for the meat
doves & grouse ... to keep me & the Airedale both humble
