I wouldn't know where to send you except to bow makers...don't know of any stores that carry any that you're talking about.
Here's a link and it has several bow makers on it, and probably links to their site if they have one: http://www.huntingsociety.org/custombows.html

Foxfire series of books have outstanding info on all type of outdoor living. Make sure you look in each book to find out what the particular topics are about. I do remember glancing through one and it showed how to make a bow.

Also get your hand on some of the survival books that are in many of the book stores. The army & Navy stores have good military books on survival.

I can't. I was chatting up this man who was selling longbows at a festival, seeing if he made any smaller ones for children....anyhow, I was asking him how hard they're to make. He, of course, had been doing it for years, so it was second nature to him...but, he said the majority of beginners (himself included), you go through many of them before you get one that is actually useable. There's several processes to it, apparently.
Anyhow, just cause you think you can't..doesn't mean you actually can't. You might be surprised, and it might take a few tries, but, you probably could make one.
OR....maybe someone here does, I dunno.

Wish I could remember where I have read how to make a long bow. I read it within the last 2 or 3 weeks. IF it was not on one of the hunting/shooting forums it was in the Nat'l Muzzle Loading Rifle Ass'n magazine

I admit that I can't make things like that.... The son of a friend of mine, an Osage Indian, used to make the old time bows from Osage orange trees (bodark), along with arrows and quivers, which he sold to gift and curio shops... But they were time consuming to make, and very expencive, and I don't know if he still does that or not.... Perhaps these links will help a bit... They have a number of interesting things on them.

Something else I might suggest that you may find of interest, and is a primitave means of hunting, are blowguns... Of course, like any other weapon, you MUST EXCERCISE CAUTION with it.... But this link may help with that, if it interests you.

NOOoooooo!

In town we had a local guy making and selling bows years ago.
I do buy a few of them on ebay from time to time.

that's an idea....see if you can find any on ebay and see if your parents will purchase it. (early bday or xmas, or pay for it yourself through them). You could probably find some on there.

Just a suggestion here... Now I am not trying to get into your business. Please do not think that... But at your age I know how hard it is sometimes to get ahold of a few extra bucks....so, if you are interested, here is a suggestion.... Just day before yesterday a kid about 13 years old came by the house. He lives a ways behind us with his family, across the alley... But he was looking for some work to do. He was trying to find enough work to earn enough to buy a bicycle a fella had for sale...and he went to all the houses in the neighborhood where older folks live, asking if they had anything that needed done... My wife got him to cleaning up the yards...picking up limbs, old boards, a couple of old broke down mowers, old tires, scraps of building material, and assorted junk...stuff that needed picked up, but we really weren't able to do. So he cleaned it all up and loaded it into a small pick-up bed trailer that we use for hauling crap....and she gave him 20 bucks for this.... Like I say, just a suggestion.

That;'s really a very good idea. I, myself, can't turn down a youngster because I , myself, was once in his/her shoes. You might find a lot of people could find a job that would normally cost them tons of money from some business, or something they might not find the time to do themselves, that they'd be willing to pay you for.
