In VA, there is usually 4 of us in camp the 1st week of rifle season.
True... You, Bawana, me, and Eddie.

In PA, there is now just me, myself, & I "in camp" and my cousin who only lives bout 15 miles away comes down and hunts with me. Cousin will have it all to himself this year as I won't be going due to very limited (if any) time off from my new job.

Hey 99er, I'm curious about PA hunting, even though a lot of hunters are at odds with the PGC. Deer hunting in PA has always been the stories of legend, even back when I was growing up. Out of state license is like $100 bucks and something like $20 or $25 bucks for the deer tags.
Hmmm... {thinking, thinking....}I've driven all up, over, down, around, and through PA many times. I really enjoy Route 220/I-99 from Bedford up towards Altoona and then veer off at Port Matilda and head up toward Phillipsburg and Clearfield. THen pickup I-80 to DuBois and up Route 219 to the NY border. The Allegheny Natl Forest along Route 219 looks like it could be packed with deer hunters during the season.
But further down PA, back towards Altoona and Holidaysburg, there is a state park and a big lake (Raystown Lake?). Is your PA camp anywhere's near that?
