What is your BEST and WORST "Hunting Sense" out of the 6 human senses of smell, taste, touch, hearing, sight, and proprioception (orientation in space) ??

My best would be sight, especially my peripheral vision.

My worst would be hearing ... a lot of damage back in my youth from running a chipper on Saturdays at a Sawmill and never liked to used any sort of hearing protection while shooting.

Hummmmm... I used to consider all of them very good...but today, I honestly don't believe any of them would score very high.

Hmmmm... Like 99er, I'd say "sight" would be my best (but only if I decide to wear my glasses wink.gif )

My worst would be "smell", as in: I sometimes don't take a deer's legendary nose into consideration and will go into the woods smelling like an old pair of gym socks that have been sitting in a locker for a week straight! blink.gif ha ha ha ha ha.... (just kidding). But you know what I mean. Sometimes I forget all about scent control and will constantly get "winded" and hear the explosion of deer going Mach IV up over the next ridge - even before I can see them! sad.gif

Alright, my worst would be sight. I can "see" but not so great when light begins to fade, I blame the astigmatism.

My best, and this is weird...is smell. I can usually smell a critter when it's coming near. Especially in rut, I could smell the hocks really good if deer are near...and. I can smell blood really good if Im upwind. (downside is, any strong smell like perfume or scented canfles etc...absolutely makes me miserable!)
