When you hear a fox barking in the distance when calling. Odds are that you have been out foxed. The red, came in behind you or you did something and he or she high tailed it from your calling area. Next thign you hear is the bark of the red. Also the bark of a gray fo and the bark of a coyote alos means the same thing. Constant barking means you have been had!

If you should get one of these fancy electronic callers with numerous sounds. one that uses a remote abut 700 yards away. Make sure you have the following sounds on it: The Baby Red Fox, the Red Fox Distress, The Adult Red Fox. Now when you hear that red fox barking at you from a distance. Set up witht the speaker facing down wind. Now post crosswind within rifle range or shotgun range . Now start playing with the red fox brain by jumping back and forth to the red fox sounds. The smart barking red fox will have a change of heart and come back for a look see at the red fox that it hears. Of course the red fox he hears is you using all of the red fox distress sounds you have on your calling unit. You can take another shot at him as soon as the red fo is in range.

That what I like to do is get into their brain....coyotes and fox and make them put down their guard.
