High today in Pa was 45 degrees. We broke a record in these parts of Pa. Tomorrow is suppose to be another record breaker and warmer yet.

It was so nice setting my cable restraints in this type of weather. I got a late start but manage to anchor 26 restraints. It was so nice the ground was not frozen since the anchor cables went in so nice. However one farm seemed to have a lot of rock beneat the surface. I broke one cable anchor punch. Glad I carry three.

I will be getting up early tomorrow to check the restraints and add some more.

Notice the deer (buck) are still working their scrapes. Nice thing trapping. You get to see things like that. Might be awhile until the buck start shedding their antlers.

On this one strawberry farm I trap and hunt. The owner had this big smile when I showed up to set some traps. Fox killed all of his domestic ducks.
He does have a few swans but he told me that they can take care of themselves. I guess if a fox tries to get one of them they fight like _____.
Now of course you take a coyote. They kill what ever they want.

Meh, we were just one degree short of 80 yesterday, until a rainy cool front dropped it to 55 in less than an hour. Once the front went through, today is going to go over 75.

The only traps I have had to anchor have been for mosquitoes!

todate I have harvested 4 fox and one coyote in a cable restraint. This is my first coyote in a restraint. Seems like every day I am averaging at least one predator. Here is the web link if you want to see the coyote and two of the fox.

Looks like you are off to a good start... Congrats.

Again I have been blessed with two red fox vixen's. I am really enjoying myself out there in the outdoors. I think everyone should trap or go along with a trapper and check their sets at least once in their life. It's awesome!!!!!!!
