Yet another Tac Star shooting light with switch. best to keep this one a white light. It does light up the field for about 30 yards in front of you. However if you place a red pop lens on it it's just does not have illumination for close in shotgun shooting. I could not see the red eyes of a fox with the pop cover on this light.

However remember now when you hit the red fox with the white light they will run away. it's OK if you can shoot fast. Batteries last long too snce you use AA.
What this amounts to is a AA flash light with a pressure switch. Probably outstanding for gray fox since they will hang around longer if you hit them with a whie light.

This one is better. It will ight up the entire field for about 500 yards. Would be an outstanding light for a rifle for night time predator hunting.

UB,

A "red-dyed" flip-up scope cover on that 2nd one otta be the ticket. The Brinkman that I use with a "red-dyed" scope cover is only good to ~100yds. If you can see out to 500yds with no red-died cover on that one, than with one you might be able to squeeze out aoround 200 to 250 yards with a red-dyed cover. wink.gif biggrin.gif
