Wow when I hunt hard in the woods. A lot of walking......Might be hunting shrooms, grouse, and or coyotes. At the end of the hunt I sometime get those dagger pains that shoot in your thigh or legs. It makes you drop to the TV room floor real fast. However if I take a shot of Tyeleno the pain goes away in about 1 min. So I keep them, Tylenol in the car next to me or I might even take a few before hand so i do not get those over excertion shooting pains in the legs.

I know you all have felt that shooting pain once in your life. Espewcially when you start to pass 30 years old. Anyway remember generic Tylenol or takes that pain away real fast. OH.............That pain hurts like a dagger in your leg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me, it's always my lower back. If it's a lot of hills and stuff, it can go completely out...especially if I'm dragging a deer, I just won't make it. I used to take aleve for it, but it started messing with me, so...I reckon I'll go with Tylenol now. smile.gif
Hairtrigger
I get a dull ache in my hips. This is noticable when I am bird hunting in tall grass and have to pull my feet forward as I walk.
Even though, I enjoy hunting more than ever

Thats the good thing about Tylenol you don't have to take it with food like everything else out there. There is a negative side to Tylenol. Unlike Aleve and or Motrin. It only mask the pain. Aleve and Motrin will cause swelling to go down or make a sore knee get better. I do use the Tylenol for the leg cramps because it works so fast. It also good for a head ache. Also you can take it without food on your stomach.

Just think about Asperin. If they brought it out now or invented now you would need a perscription to get it. Stuff can make your stomach bleed, give a child Rye Syndrom (?), etc etc. However real good if you have a tooth ache to just let an asperin melt on the tooth. Also as you all know great if your having a heart attack. I do carry some Asperin with me too in my hunting bag. However it must be taken with food.

One should never ovedose on any of the over the counter pain killers. Many will cause kidney failure so it's best not to exceed the daily amount that is on the label.

I get leg cramps after the event, usually when I'm back home, if I didn't drink enough water during the heat of the day. I've read where leg cramps are one of the symptoms of heat exhaustion. As much as I try to drink plenty of water, sometimes I still don't drink enough.

UB... I'll tell you what... I used to get them alot worse and alot more often than I do now...but then I was quite active back then, and was outside year round in all kinds of weather, both at my job, as well as when I was off work... I often got cramps in other parts of my body too, particularly in the summer...but I discovered that if I ate a banana a day I didn't get nearly so many, and those I did get were not nearly as severe.... I don't get out so much any more, and I'm not anywhere near as active as I was, but some of the pills I take for swelling do tend to cause me to have cramps... But, as long as I take the potassium supplement pills the doctor gives me, and/or eat bananas 2 or 3 times a week, I seldom have problems with cramps now.............. The bananas worked for me, just eat one a day, and I'd bet they will work for you as well.

A couple of the guys I elk hunt with get them real bad but I've never had a muscule cramp.
