I am posting a letter I wrote about the history of the Outlaw Sling. I have also added some hunter testimony for you to contemplate.

I named the Outlaw because it is so completely different than a conventional sling - it is almost criminal.
I have spent 2 1/2 years working on the Outlaw, from prototypes, to different configurations, to the current model, and testing.
My main goal was to give hunters the ability to carry a secondary firearm in the field comfortably, from their truck to the top of the mountain or to their stand or blind.
It was also my goal to make a rifle sling that could be used completely worry free, and allow the user to have their hands free to perform other activities while in the field, and the Outlaw Sling has met every goal I set out to achieve.
My secondary goal was to make it light weight (it is less than one pound), soft to the touch, supple, so that it can be rolled up and placed in a pocket, then return to its original shape when unfurled. I achieved that goal also.
I have sent prototypes to my brother, and some close family friends that are hunters, asking them to test the Outlaw and then give me a report of their experience with it.
My brother's name was drawn (for the hunt of a lifetime) for an Idaho Mountain Goat tag. Of which he used the Outlaw. He said that he was climbing straight up sheer cliffs, over boulders, and rocks, moving from ledge to ledge, at 10 to 11,000 feet eleivation, and without having the Outlaw he would have not made it up and down, because it allowed him to have both hands free to climb, and at that elevation, concentration is very important to survival. Most of all he didn't have to worry about his gun sliding off his shoulder and crashing down the mountain 10,000 ft to the bottom, which would wreck any ones day, even their hunt, if they didn't bring a second gun.
One of my friends reported that he had used it on a deer hunt way out in the sagebrush desert, he said that he had walked several miles from the truck that morning.
He said that the backpack design of the Outlaw actually is more comfortable than the conventional sling, because the harness distributes the weight of the gun over the shoulders, and is not concentrated in one point of one shoulder, which can throw you off balance.
That day he was able to harvest a nice 4x4 buck. He reported that the Outlaw allowed him to drag his deer out through sagebrush and lava rock, without fear of dropping his expensive rifle on the lava rock and causing great damage. He stated that the Outlaw is a great asset.
Another friend reported that he used his during duck and turkey seasons. He was pleased with the way it performed. While I was carrying my decoy bag, and other equipment to my blind, I had to cross the river, I did not worry about dropping my gun in the water, because it was securely positioned on my back. Even if I had taken a dunk in the river, I would still not worry about losing my gun, because it can't just slip off my shoulder like a conventional sling.
As for myself, I am a predator hunter. You know here in Idaho, there are alot of predators. I like to hunt with a rifle and a shotgun at each stand. I was able to carry the rifle on a conventional sling over one shoulder, while I backpacked my shotgun on my back, which left me free hands to carry the other paraphernalia that we carry. I have been using the Outlaw for two winters hunting coyotes, and I have to tell you, IT WORKS GREAT!
All of this testimony (there was more that I didn't include, which was all good testimony). All this excitement; just fired me up to go ahead and apply for a Patent, and get out on the market, for other hunters & shooters to use and be excited about.
I hope this will clear things up a little for everyone. I know that being cautious about new products and companies is a good thing. And I agree with that.
So heres what I am going to do; Since I was the one that sewed each and every Outlaw, I know the effort I put into them to make them as perfect as possible.
The Outlaw is extremely strong, 700 to 900 psi tensile strength. It won't stretch when wet, it won't mildew, it won't rot, and it will not retain odors.
I am going to guarantee the "Craftsmanship" of The Outlaw for (1) One Year from date of purchase. I will repair or replace it, under normal wear. Owner pays shipping both ways.
